I started this blog just to talk about things that were important to me, restaurants, films, hotels I stay in, places I visit etc, but I think it’s going to end up being a mixture of personal stuff like that and also business-related stuff, like the post about 10 Questions to ask when selecting a website content management system. My company is Insight Group, which I run with my husband, Mark. We have a great team of people here and offer all types of marketing services including online marketing, social media, public relations, graphics design, email marketing and marketing consultancy. We’ve been doing this for 20 years so I think we know what we’re doing and we’ve been able to help all manner of companies improve their marketing and get better results in terms of sales and increased business – which pleases them no end!
In the real world, I’m not saying how old I am, I will leave that bit up to your imagination, but I love eating out, going on holiday, seeing my lovely friends, going for walks and watching films. For the past few years I have been relearning the piano, which is a great source of enjoyment and at the same time, frustration to me. I first got into social media at the beginning of 2009 while I was ski-ing in Whistler, and since then we have built up a huge amount of knowledge and even written some guides about it.

I’ve just started this blog to write about things that I always say I’d like to tell someone about, but never get round to. Like how good a restaurant is, that sort of thing. Or maybe complain about some bad customer service I’ve received, or even praise good customer service, although that doesn’t seem to happen quite as often. I’m not bothered if you don’t like what I write, but do comment if you feel moved to!
